Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is a funeral home in Waukesha, Wisconsin, serving families in the greater Waukesha area. Services include burial, cremation, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, and reception and catered events.
Founded in 1897 by Joseph Cesarz and Erling Larsen under the name Erling & Cesarz Funeral Home, the business has operated continuously in Waukesha for more than 125 years. The firm operated under several names across its history — including Erling Larsen Funeral Home and Cesarz and Zinnecker — before incorporating formally in 1968 under the three-partner name that recognized Joseph Cesarz, Donald Charapata, and Grant Zinnecker. The current public name was adopted in 1993. The funeral home has been located at its current address on North Moreland Boulevard since the 1960s. Grant Zinnecker served as a partner for approximately 25 years before selling his interest in 1992 to join the Peace Corps.
The facility includes a chapel, reception and event space, and accommodates both identification viewings and private viewings.
Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker does not operate an on-site cemetery or on-site crematory and does not offer pet cremation, licensed grief therapy, or legal and estate planning services.
Families consistently note the team's responsiveness to specific requests and their ability to guide families through arrangements with ease.
