The funeral home was established in 1946 by Irvin W. Hankins and James B. Whittington and moved to its current location in 1963. The building was originally constructed in 1930 as St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and remains situated in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte. It is the only funeral home in Charlotte with its own chapel.
The facility includes a large chapel, reception/event space, identification viewings, and private viewings.
This location does not have an on-site cemetery or on-site crematory and does not provide pet cremation, licensed grief therapy, or legal or estate planning services.
