Locations
Molalla Funeral Chapel is a funeral home in Molalla, Oregon, serving the surrounding Clackamas County communities. Services include burial, cremation, funeral and memorial services, pre-need planning, reception and catered events, and ash scattering assistance. Human composting and aquamation are available through partner providers.
The business traces its origins to approximately 1900, when James F. and Mary Adams operated a coffin store at the corner of Molalla Avenue and Main Street — the founding commercial node of what is now downtown Molalla, historically known as Four Corners, the intersection of two Native American trails where the community first grew. Harvey Everhart took over the Molalla business from the Adams family in 1909, establishing the funeral home that would operate continuously under family ownership for the better part of a century. Following Harvey's death in 1954, his son Elton Everhart assumed ownership, expanding operations to include a second location in Canby under the partnership name Everhart & Kent Funeral Home. The business operated under Everhart family ownership through 1997. The current name, Molalla Funeral Chapel, has been in use since 1993.
The facility includes a chapel, with space for identification viewings and private viewings.
Molalla Funeral Chapel does not operate an on-site cemetery or on-site crematory. Pet cremation, licensed grief counseling, and legal or estate planning services are not available.
