Sunset View Cemetery

Sunset View Cemetery is a cemetery in Jackson, California, serving families in Amador County and the surrounding Sierra Nevada foothills region. This cemetery is distinct from the historic Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito, California, which was founded in 1908. Sunset View Cemetery offers burial services, funeral and memorial services, and pre-need cemetery property.

Established in 1988 by Daneri Mortuary, Sunset View Cemetery has operated under common management with Daneri Mortuary since its founding, providing coordinated care from funeral arrangement through permanent placement. The cemetery features the Garden of Valor, a dedicated section for military veterans, and bronze statuary created by local artist Bill Porteous.

The cemetery includes cremation niches and gardens, private and family cemetery lots, and a dedicated veterans section. Pre-need cemetery property is available for families wishing to arrange burial or cremation memorials in advance.

Sunset View Cemetery does not operate an on-site crematory. No chapel, service room, or reception space is available on the grounds.
